White House Office Of Health Reform Director "Blindsided" By AHIP Study
trickymaster, 21:01h
For every Republican idiot here: Government-run health care is the only option. The public option is the prototype, must be and will be implemented into the final legislation. If you doubt government-run health care, take a look at the countries with the best health care system:
All are government-run and universal, which means they include health, dental and life insurance for a fair price. When I moved to the United States, I did not even know that there was a difference between dental and regular health care. Now, since I know that I really raise the question how I can live the same lifestyle that I used to live in Germany. When I was there we did not have to pay any co-pay for practices or any hospital.
E.g. Once I went to my dentist because of an infection. She sent me to my doctor practice. My doctor was also not able to treat me and sent me to a new practice where a nother doctor subscribed me the right medicine. All that within one hour adn the only thing I had to pay were 6 euros for government-subsidized medicine in a pharmacy!
Imagine(!) I would do that here in the US. The cost for Co-pay would kill me at least at the second practice.

Senate Finance Committee Health Care Vote Today
trickymaster, 21:00h
I don't know why every one is talking about the bill made by the Senate Finance Committee. The Committee consists of 3 Republicans adn 3 Democrats which means it has the least say on the final Health Care bill as it does not represent the people. We should focus on the Hosue and the Senate who are the chambers that decide whether we get a strong public option or no public option at all. Public option is our only way to Universal Health Care.

Senate Health Bill Opposed By Unions, Full-Page Paper Ad Planned
trickymaster, 20:59h
Thank you unions! This is the attitude I was waiting for this week. You know, raised in Germany where the first Health Care system was established, I know that the unions were the strong pillar for universal health care.
In the 19th century, laborers began to put one part of their money into a laborer's fund. When one of the laborers was insured or sick, he could use the money to pay for the costs.
Soon unions were created and the fund money increased. However they were not satisfied, formed Social democratic/Labor parties and demanded to apply this system to the whole country. Soon the German government passed the so-called social laws that would guarantee government-run health-, dental-, and life insurance combined into what German call Social Insurance.
This system lasted until today and was adopted by many nations around the world. I would say that it is even wider spread than democracy which shows its extreme importance for the population.
